Prof. Arjun Karki is the Chief Consultant and Head of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at HAMS Hospital in Nepal. He began his career as a healthcare worker in rural Nepal and later earned his medical degree from Brown University in the USA. He has been instrumental in establishing Kathmandu University and Patan University of Health Sciences (PUHS) and is associated with numerous health and education institutions in Nepal. Prof. Karki is deeply committed to transforming Nepal's academic and R&D ecosystem and served as Chair of the University of Nepal Development Board - now The University of Nepal, where the PRI team is actively involved.
